In 2023, while running through the hills of Berkeley, I found it frustrating that I had to choose between listening to inspiring music OR listening to important audiobooks.

I wanted to feel inspired by my music while, at the same time, listening to the (sometimes) mundane readers of important audiobooks.

I eventually bought an old ipod nano and a second set of wireless earbuds... running with one in each ear (playing music on one side, and audiobooks on the other).

I began using this setup in more and more situations and eventually I realized that if I built an app, others might benefit from this new concept.

With a little help from my children (Sivan, Matan, and Aviva), I finished building dicotic and released it on March 20, 2026.

This is just the beginning.
